NCMIC Finance Corporation (NFC) was founded for the exclusive purpose of making insurance more affordable for insureds. For nearly 25 years we've kept that at the foundation of our success, and we've expanded our portfolio of products to help our customers build and grow their businesses.
NCMIC Finance Corporation (NFC) began offering insurance premium financing in 1993 to policyholders of NCMIC Insurance Company. In 1995 we expanded and began offering financing through independent agencies. Today, we finance premiums for agents in 42 states.
NFC is a principal member of Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®; and we are a direct processor for American Express®. We offer business credit cards to customers in all 50 states, including no-annual-fee, cash-back and reward-based cards.
In 1996, NFC began providing equipment financing to help healthcare professionals obtain clinical equipment, computers and software for their practices. Today, our markets also include insurance agencies, agricultural and industrial-based businesses. Our distribution channels include equipment manufacturers, distributors, vendors and brokers.
In 2005, we acquired a small merchant processing company to begin offering credit card processing services to our customers. In just 12 years, NFC has become one of the nation's leading processors, clearing over $1.4 billion in credit card transaction volume annually for over 13,000 merchants. Our distribution channels include banks, associations, insurance agencies/companies and affinity groups.
Working capital loans were introduced to our customers in 2014 to provide access to cash in 48 hours or less for business expenses such as marketing, hiring, bridging cash flow and more.
